Hebrew University has opened its doors to a new school year, marked by growth and renewal.
In honor of Israel’s 70th Anniversary, we decided to look into the future, to try and predict what the next 70 years will look like. With the help of our Hebrew University faculty members, we put together a fascinating portrait of Israel at 70+.

Students excelling in STEM felds who are part of the Schulich Leader Scholarship Program were celebrated this week in an event with Hebrew Univerity President Prof. Asher Cohen.
The event was kicked off by Ram Semo, Director of the Division for Advancement and External Relations who welcomed the University's elite Schulich Leaders.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is proud and honored to have four of its Alpha students win at The Israel Young Scientists and Developers competition, initiated and led by the Bloomfield Science Museum. Eight Hebrew University Alpha students submitted their work to the competition (out of 47 nation-wide).

The Israel Prize – the State of Israel’s most prestigious honor – is awarded annually on Independence Day as the highest recognition of Israeli individuals who have displayed excellence in their fields as well as those who have made an outstanding contribution to the State of Israel and the culture of the nation.
This year, the Israel Prize will be awarded to four faculty members, and an Honorary Doctorate recipient.
Hebrew University's Israel Institute for Advanced Studies (IIAS) welcomes its newest director, Professor Yitzhak Hen.
Beginning June 2018, Hen will head the IIAS, a national institution devoted to academic research located at the Edmond J. Safra campus at Givat Ram.
