Since 1925, American Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU) has connected the passions of Americans with innovation at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HU).
AFHU is a national, non-profit organization based in the United States. Headquartered in New York with regional offices around the country, AFHU promotes greater appreciation of HU's breadth and scope of achievements and the university's pivotal role in educating leaders for Israel and the world. By nurturing philanthropic partnerships with U.S.-based constituents, AFHU helps the Hebrew University to improve human health, lead the way with agricultural innovation, spearhead new technology, and illuminate the world through the humanities. Additionally, AFHU provides supporters, Hebrew University alumni, and the general public with stimulating programs and events and organizes missions to Israel. Fundraising activities support scholarly and scientific achievement at the Hebrew University, create scholarships, new facilities, and assist the university's efforts to recruit outstanding new faculty.
We bring together a community of like-minded individuals who are motivated by the pursuit of knowledge, supportive of human ingenuity, and dedicated to global progress.
